LEXINGTON, Ohio — About a dozen riders were waiting in line on the south side of Mid-Ohio Sport Car Course’s upper paddock Sunday morning for the first KTM demo rides of the day at 2018 AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, presented by Royal Enfield.

It was Klasen’s first year attending AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days and he was very impressed with his experience.

“It’s a super exciting event,” he said. “I will be back next year for sure.”

Anther first-time AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days attendee waiting in the line was Brad Kline of Perrysburg, Ohio. Kline was enjoying the experience.

“It’s crazy and overwhelming being here,” he said. “All the different kinds of motorcycles here and all of the stuff for sale are incredible.”

Kline owns a Buell Lightening 1200 and chose a KTM 1290 SuperDuke R for his demo ride.

Another rider waiting to throw a leg over a KTM demo bike was Phil Nevius of Boston, Mass. Waiting alongside his father Tim Nevius, the two were enjoying some quality father-son time at the event.

“It’s our second year coming here, and it’s a great excuse to hang out with my dad and ride some bikes,” Phil Nevius said. “The road racing is great to watch too.”

Phil Nevius owns a 2007 Honda CBR600RR and a 2006 Honda 599. He ended up astride a KTM 690 Duke for his demo ride.
