By watching trends at the local, state, national and international levels, the AMA can quickly identify and act on any potential threats to ensure that motorcyclists enjoy the same opportunities and benefits that are afforded to drivers of other types of vehicles. Occasionally, some issues arise that are of such continued importance or impact that the AMA Board of Directors decides to publish a position statement detailing the organization’s official stance on the issue at hand.
