The U.S. Senate Committee on Finance, chaired by U.S. Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.), held a markup (votes taken) on a draft bill entitled “The Family and Business Tax Cut Certainty Act of 2012.” The mark-up was on Aug. 2.
U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) offered an amendment to extend the tax credit for two- and three-wheeled plug-in vehicles for two years. The tax credit is $2,500 per vehicle. It was accepted by voice. The Committtee approved the bipartisan bill by a vote of 19 - 5.
