Honda, Yamaha are top brands among thieves
Honda and Yamaha brand motorcycles proved most popular among thieves during 2013, with Suzuki, Kawasaki and Harley-Davidson rounding out the top five, according to a new report from the National Insurance Crime Bureau.
Since 2008, annual motorcycle thefts have seen significant decreases, but that trend appears to be leveling off.
In 2007, 65,678 motorcycles were stolen. That number dropped to 45,367 in 2013, according to the report. The 2013 figure was just 1.5 percent less than the 46,601 reported stolen in 2012.
