Earlier this year, I began to make plans for a vacation to Southern California. I have always wanted to ride in California and figured this was as good a time as any.
I am an AMA Life Member and remembered seeing an ad for SoCal Motorcycle Tours in this magazine. I called the number and within seconds I was on the phone with Tim Rambo, tour leader, and on my way to what turned out to be a fantastic day.

Ride for Kids motorcyclists in South Carolina and Texas raised more than $152,000 for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation on Oct. 12. More than 500 riders attended the events in Lexington and Fort Worth to honor our Stars, local children with brain tumors: Anna, Ashley, Aynsley, Benjamin, Cassandra, Gabrielle, Heather, Jerald, John, Justin, Kaylah, Keldon, Kieleigh, Liam, Nora, Rob, Summer, Travis and Valerie.

Motorcyclists at the 22nd Northern California Ride for Kids came out in force to support the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation on Oct. 5. As of ride time, the event had raised $69,502. Nearly 200 riders attended the event at Solano Community College in Fairfield to honor local children with brain tumors. The Northern California Stars were Blue, Brennan, Elias and Vanessa.
