NEPG RD. 2 Airgroup Radiant Racing's race reports and video
March 27, 2014
The following is an industry press release...
Round 2 of the NEPG Kenda/AMA National Enduro Series was in Blackwell, TX this past weekend. The team flew in early to Dallas, TX on Thursday afternoon to get down to Blackwell, TX by Thursday evening to get some riding/testing in on the diverse terrain on Friday. Nick and Ryder got to try some different tire compounds that Kenda had sent down for the race, Nick ended up choosing the triple sticky front tire and Washougal sticky 120 rear tire and Ryder chose the triple sticky combo for the race.
Saturday morning was final prep for the event on Sunday…FMF Tech/Sound inspection was on the agenda and the guys decided to do a little bit more testing with some jetting changes and minor bike changes…After mounting up tires for Sunday everyone was ready to head to the Motel to get some grub. Also have to give Nick’s mechanic (Jamie Reed) a shout out for busting his butt and having the bike ready to go for races…
Nick Fahringer- Had a couple set backs on the day but overall the work he’s been putting in at home and with Steve Hatch has been paying dividends and his fitness is right where it needs to be and good things are getting ready to happen…He’s riding solid and once we get the gremlins away he is going to be up front contesting for test wins we believe. Solid 5th overall on the day.
Ryder Lafferty- He’s getting more and more comfortable with the team atmosphere and really starting to understand his motorcycle and what changes need to be made to make it perform at his top level of riding. We are enjoying watching him progress and we are excited to see what each event brings for this young man. Great kid to be around and he brings to the youth back in all of us older guys on the team. 14th overall and 11th overall in point through 2 races…
