PICKERINGTON, Ohio -- The seminar program at BikeBandit.com AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, featuring the riders and champions of Husqvarna, gives attendees an opportunity to learn from living motorcycling legends this July 19-21 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.
"The members of the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame, their accomplishments and their dedication to motorcycling give the Hall of Fame its appeal," said AMA Vice President of Operations Jeff Massey. "In much the same way, the seminar speakers at BikeBandit.com AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days breathe life into the entire event, offering their personal experiences, insider stories and expert tips to teach and entertain."
This year's lineup includes "Stories of Motorcycle Design in the 1960s and 1970s" and "Living Better on Less Energy" by Hall of Famer Craig Vetter; "The Modern Military Motorcycle and the Development of the Diesel Motorcycle" by Fred Hayes; "Triumph Technicalities" by John Healy and Don Hutchinson; and "My Favorite 12 Rides in North America" by Tom Lowdermilk. Eric Trow, owner of the Stayin' Safe motorcycle school and the 2013 recipient of the AMA Outstanding Road Rider Award, will discuss road safety in "Get Smart."
Other speakers include former Wisconsin state senator and Hall of Famer Dave Zien, Paul Pelland and former AMA Director of Racing and current AMA District Relations Manager Joe Bromley, who will discuss how to get started in vintage racing.
In addition, the AMA Government Relations Department will conduct a town hall meeting, where attendees can get information on issues that impact them, such as insurance discrimination, the safety of E15 ethanol fuel and public land access for recreational riding. The town hall meeting will be hosted by AMA Vice President for Government Relations and former U.S. Sen. Wayne Allard.
