    Ride for Kids motorcyclists in South Carolina and Texas raised more than $152,000 for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation on Oct. 12. More than 500 riders attended the events in Lexington and Fort Worth to honor our Stars, local children with brain tumors: Anna, Ashley, Aynsley, Benjamin, Cassandra, Gabrielle, Heather, Jerald, John, Justin, Kaylah, Keldon, Kieleigh, Liam, Nora, Rob, Summer, Travis and Valerie.

  • Bryan Smith dominates AMA Pro Flat Track Finals at Pomona, Jared Mees claims second career overall Grand National Championship

    Jared Mees knew what he had to do Saturday night at the AMA Pro Flat Track finale to wrap up the Grand National Championship overall title, and he did just that. Mees rode his No. 9 Rodgers Racing Harley-Davidson to a fourth place finish at the Flat Track Finals at the LA County Fairplex in Pomona, Calif., and claimed the No. 1 plate by three points over Bryan Smith (279-276), who took the checkered flag in convincing fashion on his No. 42 Villa-Esparza/Crosley Radio Yamaha for the fifth time this year.

    Hollywood actor and longtime motorcyclist Perry King will serve as the master of ceremonies for the 2014 American Honda AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, presented by Harley-Davidson, on Friday, Oct. 17, at the Chapin Theater in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. The induction ceremony takes place during the 2014 AMA Convention, Oct. 16-19, in conjunction with the American International Motorcycle Expo.

  • Northern California motorcyclists top $69,000 for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation

    Motorcyclists at the 22nd Northern California Ride for Kids came out in force to support the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation on Oct. 5. As of ride time, the event had raised $69,502. Nearly 200 riders attended the event at Solano Community College in Fairfield to honor local children with brain tumors. The Northern California Stars were Blue, Brennan, Elias and Vanessa.
