IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

NEW AMA/ATVA MEMBERSHIP SALES REPORT FORM FOR COMPETITION EVENT POST-EVENT REPORTING

Effective April 15, 2010, a new AMA/ATVA Membership Sales Report Form must be filed as part of all AMA/ATVA Sanctioned Competition Event Post-Event Reporting.

  1. Effective April 15, 2010, completion and return of the AMA/ATVA Membership Sales Report Form is required as part of post-event reporting (similar to the Referee Report) for all AMA Organizers holding AMA Sanctioned Competition events. The form must be returned even if no AMA/ATVA memberships are sold. In that case, please check the “No AMA/ATVA Memberships were sold” box.

  2. AMA Organizers conducting AMA Sanctioned Competition Events must complete and return the AMA/ATVA Membership Sales Report, membership applications and receipts no later than 2 days following the event; this turnaround time is required to facilitate the prompt processing and fulfillment of AMA/ATVA Membership applications.

  3. Referee Reports may be returned up to 14 days following an event.

  4. The AMA/ATVA Membership Sales Report Form is now available for download in the Resources & Forms section of the AMA Organizers webpage located at www.americanmotorcyclist.com/organizers/.

  5. The AMA/ATVA Membership Sales Report Form may also be requested by emailing Jacki Burris at jburris@ama-cycle.org.

  6. The AMA will provide an AMA/ATVA Membership Sales Report Form with all future Competition App Pad requests. A postage-paid return envelope will be provided, and is to be used exclusively for returning the Form, completed Membership Applications and receipts. Note: the pre-paid envelope is to be used only for the purpose of returning completed applications, receipts and the form. Do not send Referee Reports in the pre-paid envelope.

  7. The AMA will also provide an AMA/ATVA Membership Sales Report Form with all future Competition Sanction Fulfillment Mailings (we are currently fulfilling June events).

  8. Even if no memberships are sold, the Membership Sales Report Form must be returned to the AMA as part of post-event reporting for all Competition Events taking place after April 15, 2010. As with Referee/Injury Reports, failure to return the AMA/ATVA Membership Sales Form may result in suspension or revocation of AMA Charter and/or Sanction privileges.

  9. Tennessee-Only Form: Because the state of Tennessee levies a sales tax on AMA/ATVA memberships sold in that state, a specific TN-Only AMA/ATVA Membership Sales Report Form is available (and will be provided) for events held in Tennessee.

The AMA needs your support in our effort to improve fulfillment of AMA/ATVA memberships. It is imperative that AMA and AMA Organizers provide excellent customer service to our members and customers, ideally exceeding their expectations. You play a critical role in accomplishing this. We value your hard work and want to make this an easy transition. If you have any questions regarding the new AMA/ATVA Membership Sales Report Form or process, please contact Cherie Schlatter at cschlatter@ama-cycle.org.

Thank you for your effort and support!
