AMA Logo use and materials

May 21, 2009

Attention AMA Organizers:

The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) thanks you for your continued support and promotion of safe, quality, and fun rider events. We are proud that you continue to charter and sanction with us, and it is our mission at AMA Organizer Services to provide you with the highest quality customer support and service.

In June, 2008, the AMA launched a new, member focused American Motorcyclist magazine. At that time, we introduced the new AMA logo. This logo, designed by Troy Lee and based upon the popular AMA “star” design, salutes both the heritage of the AMA and reflects the Association’s bold mission to promote the motorcycle lifestyle and protect the future of our sport. We are very proud of all of the AMA “legacy” logos, including the “shield” logo many of you continue to display on posters, advertising and your web sites. However, we feel it is important for all our partners to help us move the AMA forward as the member-focused, re-energized organization that we have become.

We therefore request that you begin using the new AMA logo immediately. Please visit www.AmericanMotorcyclist.com/whatis/logos/index.asp. There you will find links to the bold new design, and the terms of usage information. Please feel free to use the new AMA logo and the AMA-Sanctioned logo as allowed by the terms of use and AMA Rules.

If you have any questions, please contact Cherie Schlatter, AMA Organizer Services Manager at cschlatter@ama-cycle.org or 614-856-1900 ext. 1242 before publishing the logos on paper or the web.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
