Marshall Magnusson: 2012 Sr. 50cc DTX (7-8) dirt-track national champion
February 06, 2013
Marshall Magnusson of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, is a national champion at the age of 9.
In 2012, Magnusson captured the Senior 50cc DTX (7-8) national No. 1 plate at the AMA Dirt Track Grand Championships.
His toughest competition?
"All the racers in the AMA dirt-track series," he says. "The fastest kids from all over come to race these events."
Magnusson has already been racing for three years, and he hopes to continue racing for at least seven more years. He says he enjoys AMA dirt-track racing "because of the fast competition, new friends and well-run programs."
In 2013, he plans to race in the AMA Dirt Track Grand Championships, the AMA All Star National Flat Track Series and local races.
When he's not racing, he enjoys playing football with his brother and friends, fishing, swimming and playing video games.
"I would like to thank my dad and sister and my sponsors: Magnusson Motorsports, Rocky's Pitstop Garage, Decal Works and Boughner Racing."
