Kurt Caselli Foundation goes live
February 28, 2014
The Kurt Caselli Foundation, established in 2013, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit formed with the mission to help protect and support the lives of off-road riders. While there is always an element of danger involved in off-road racing, The Kurt Caselli Foundation, aims to minimize the danger to the best of its ability with a three-part mission that encompasses safety precautions for riders before, during and after a racing career.
Before racing, we are committed to encouraging, developing, and standardizing safety precautions that will help minimize risk outside of the rider's control.
During racing, we are committed to developing, establishing, and encouraging the use of safety equipment and policies to increase safety of the riders.
After racing, we are committed to providing a safety net that allows and encourages former racers to further their education and reach career goals for themselves and their families.
The Kurt Caselli Foundation is proud to launch its official website www.kurtcaselli.com. In addition, the foundation is launching its first initiative for the 2014 season by providing two pre-sweep trucks at this weekend’s SCORE San Felipe 250 event. The trucks will pre-sweep through highly populated spectator areas prior to the race to help clear any inherent danger.
The Kurt Caselli Foundation has announced its Board of Directors and Board Advisory roles:
Directors - Sarah White, Nancy Caselli, Carolyn Caselli, Jon-Erik Burleson and Donny Emler Jr.
Advisory - Antti Kallonen, Christy LaCurelle, Dr. Christopher Alexander, and Quinn Cody
With the help of the general public and its generous donations The Kurt Caselli Foundation has been able to raise $60,000 to be earmarked for upcoming safety measures inside off-road racing events. 100% of all donations go to The Kurt Caselli Foundation.
