Dirt tracker Jeffrey Lowery honored by Ohio state senate

Jeffery Lowery, 2013 AMA Dirt Track Horizon Award winner, was honored Wednesday, Oct. 30, before the Ohio State Senate.
Senator Tim Schaffer (R-Lancaster) presented Lowery, 16, with a resolution recognizing his accomplishments in winning AMA national titles in the 251-500cc DTX class and the 450cc Modified class at the AMA Dirt Track Grand Championships in Springfield, Ill., this June 24-27.
The AMA Dirt Track Grand Championships crown amateur and youth national champions in individual dirt-track disciplines, including half-mile, TT, mile and short-track events. Amateur racers from all over the United States compete at the event.
Lowery was featured on the cover of the September 2013 issue of American Motorcyclist.
