Peyton Zimmerman: 2012 ATV Motocross Nationals 90 Auto Jr. champion

March 11, 2013

Peyton Zimmerman, from Lititz, P.A., is an honor student at Warwick Middle School and an avid ATV racer.

In 2012 Zimmerman raced the AMA ATV Motocross National Championship series in the 90 Auto Jr. class where he placed first, the 70 CVT class finishing second and he earned a third place in the 90 CVT (8-15) class.

"My toughest competition during the season were Jesse Violes, Wesley Wolfe, Grayson Eller, Trevor Thatcher and Bryce Ford," Zimmerman said.

Zimmerman likes racing in this particular series because, "there is a lot of competition and you always have to be on your A game!"

Looking ahead to the 2013 season, Zimmerman plans to continue running in the ATV National series in the 90 Open Sr. and Super Mini classes. "I plan on having a great season and staying safe, smart and smooth," he said. "I plan to run the series until I can't compete anymore."

When he isn't racing or practicing, Zimmerman likes to ride his bike or scooter, drive his RC car, go deer hunting, play air soft and Xbox with his friends and "sometimes I like to just chill and relax with my parents."

"I would like to thank Mom and Dad, Zimmermans Slate Rooding, Hetrick Racing, Landis Wash and Lube, FTR Powersports, Fly Racing, Todd Auker Contruction, Kal-Gard, Maxxis, Tim's Fitness Center, my personal trainer Sandi and all of my family and friends that support me," Zimmerman said.
