Kentucky: Big Rock ATV and Dirtbike Park

Maysville, Ky.

Looking for a family-friendly riding area? The Big Rock ATV and Dirtbike Park may be just for you.

Several ATVA members have called or e-mailed us with comments like "You've got to check out Big Rock. It’s great!"

Big Rock ATV and Dirtbike Park is private property that is open for public riding. Big Rock features 2,000 acres of riding opportunities for everyone from beginners to experienced riders. If you have ridden there in the past, you'll be pleased to know that new areas have opened.

One of the favorite stops is the bluffs that look down on the Ohio River.

Big Rock is family-friendly and has some very good and easy-to-follow rules. All riders are required to wear an approved helmet, and riding double isn't allowed unless the ATV was manufactured as a two-person vehicle. Alcohol isn't permitted in the park, including the campgrounds.

The trails are open to ATVs and dirtbikes only—no trucks, jeeps or buggies allowed.

Primitive camping is free, and there are showers and restrooms. A limited number of electrical hookups are available for an additional fee. A cabin with four bunks is also available to rent for $30 per night, but call for reservations.

Several motels, plenty of restaurants, gas stations and, of course, a WalMart Supercenter, are all located nearby in Maysville, Kentucky. In the surrounding area there are 11 different ATV dealers that support Big Rock.

If you are new to ATVing, or just need an extra ATV for friend or family, Southbound Rentals may be the answer. Call them at (877) 349-2305.
