Amateur and youth dirt trackers at the 2013 AMA Dirt Track Grand Championships moved to the TT course on Tuesday, June 25, at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, Ill. The TT, which differs from traditional dirt track in that it incorporates right-hand turns and a jump, is the second round of action at the annual event.

Brandon Price, Davis Fisher and Tristan Avery looked good in the big bike classes, while Tyler Tidwell and Tommy Edwards kept the pace on the mini-bikes and Dallas Mayer was strong in the Super Senior 50+ class.

The AMA Dirt Track Grand Championships crown amateur and youth champions in individual dirt-track disciplines, including half-mile, TT and short-track events. Amateur racers also compete in mile events. At the end of the event, the most-outstanding amateur racer is awarded the AMA Dirt Track Horizon Award, presented to the racer demonstrating a readiness for success at the pro level.
