The AMA is pleased to work with Americade and its founder, Bill Dutcher, on an AMA membership drive aimed at helping protect the rights of all motorcyclists.
"Having the AMA's National Convention -- Americade -- work with the country's premier advocate for motorcyclists' rights, riding and racing, is a natural, and we're psyched that Bill is helping us in this effort," said Grant Parsons, the AMA 's Director of Communications and Marketing. "The AMA has been a part of Americade for decades, and Bill has always been a standout supporter. This latest move just proves that again."
The membership drive is centered around messaging on Americade's well-known website designed to promote membership among the thousands of committed motorcyclists who make Americade the world-class event that it is.
Dutcher said the membership drive was a natural, given that Americaders are among the most dedicated and enthusiastic riders in all of motorcycling. The value of membership, he says, not only protects riders' rights and protects them on the road with AMA Roadside Assistance, but it also just makes sense to support those who ensure a great future for motorcycling.
"I'm a life member of AMA; have been a member for decades, because I agree with the responsible positions that the AMA takes on most issues" said Americade Founder Bill Dutcher. He continued: "All road riders need a voice in Washington as well as a national organization with the best interests of motorcyclists at heart. For these reasons and more, we urge Americaders to become AMA members if they are not already. We are delighted to partner with the AMA in this worthy effort.
