LEXINGTON, Ohio — Steve Ramey hit the ground early Friday with a purpose: Find motorcycles for his two children at the AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days Swap Meet, brought to you by Federal Motorcycle Shipping.
Daughter Mariell and son Stevie were following Ramey and his wife, Meldy, from vendor to vendor, dutifully offering a response to Dad's questions, getting on and off the bikes, sorting out their preferences and enjoying the day with family and friends.

The Rameys, from Logan, Ohio, made the trip to AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, featuring Riders of Kawasaki, with friends Dan and Cristine Thomas, of Caroll, Ohio.
Dan hoped to find a vintage Vespa scooter or something similar that he can use as a pit bike at large motorcycle events.
"This is my first time at this event," Dan said. "It is spectacular. My antique store is drifting toward motorcycles, so I wanted to get up here to check out the event and see what was available."
George Daggett of Winchester, Ind., was also checking out what was available.

"My brother and I have made this an annual thing for about 10 years or so," Daggett said. "Today, I'm just looking for a good deal. If it catches my eye, I'll buy it."
Daggett said he has "cut back" his motorcycle collection from about 20.
