Moto Armory, a collection of more than 800 vintage motorcycles in East Moline, Ill., returns as the title sponsor of the Moto Armory AMA Vintage Off-Road Grand Championship July 7-9 during AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, featuring Riders of Kawasaki, at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.
The Moto Armory AMA Vintage Off-Road Grand Championship includes motocross, hare scrambles and trials competition. Pre-entry for racing is open now at www.amavintagemotorcycledays.com/page/vintage-racing-2017.
The sponsorship includes a large display of some of the rarest dirt bikes in Moto Armory's expansive collection -- the largest collection of vintage off-road motorcycles in the world.
"The Moto Armory display at AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, featuring Riders of Kawasaki, will feature bikes from some of the most significant moments and events in American off-road racing history," said AMA Chief Operations Officer Jeff Massey. "We're pleased that Moto Armory is returning to AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days to support the off-road racing as well as the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame, which receives the proceeds from the event."
Moto Armory will display premier examples from its vast collection, including pristine trail bikes from the 1970s and world championship works bikes raced by AMA Motorcycle Hall of Famers.
"Since the first time Moto Armory attended AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, I knew it was something that we needed to continue to be a part of," said Tom Reese, AMA Life Member and president of Moto Armory. "Look for some unique motorcycles to be on display in Mid-Ohio this year that are new to our vast collection of over 800 off-road machines."
For 2017, AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, featuring Riders of Kawasaki, will celebrate the riders and machines that have made Kawasaki motorcycles famous for more than five decades in America.
