Off-road racing is growing across America, and a big reason is the work done by AMA-chartered clubs, promoters and other organizers.
AMA Off-Road Racing Manger Erek Kudla traveled to Mahanoy, Pa., on July 16-17 to help out at Round 4 of the SRT AMA East Hare Scramble Championship.
Kudla was on site to see what the East Coast Enduro Association had going on, the Valley Forge Trail Riders had put together and all the work that series coordinator Kenny Held has done to grow the regional championship series.
"A lot of effort has gone into reinventing the series and ensuring that it grows and continues into the future," Kudla says.
Kudla, who raced himself at the event, spent some time with Held after the checkered flag flew to discuss where the series stands. Here's their conversation.
