Leeds, Ala. – MillCreek Mx is pleased to announce the 2017 Spring Classic Amateur Championship , presented by Fly Racing will be held, March 2-5, 2017.
Since 1975, March has marked the kick off of the amateur motocross racing season at the Spring Classic. Riders such as James Stewart, Ryan Dungey, Jeremy Martin, Justin Barcia, Cooper Webb, Joey Savatgy, Justin Hill, Shane McElrath and Eli Tomac and many more youth, amateur and Pro riders have all passed through the Spring Classic gates. On board with us this year will be Fly Racing, FMF, Dunlop, Lucas Oil, Rocky Mountain ATV/MC, Hyperlite, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, KTM and Cobra, all providing their contingency programs.
They Hyperlite Wakeboard Best of the Best Challenge will be presented to the racers with the most moto wins. Custom designed Hyperlite boards will be earned by racers in nine divisions: 50cc, 65cc, 85cc, Supermini, Schoolboy, B class, C class, Vet class and Pro class.
The Spring Classic will be a three moto format. AMA championship #1 plates will be presented along with 1st – 8th place championship awards. Thursday is an optional practice day with racing beginning Friday morning and finishing up on Sunday.
The Spring Classic is sanctioned by the American Motorcyclist Association, the country’s leading amateur motorsports sanctioning body as well as the premier advocate for motorcyclist’s rights. AMA sanctioned events represent the gold standard of motorcycle competition and enjoy exclusive access to the AMA Amateur Competition Rulebook.

The 2017 Spring Classic Amateur Championship, presented by Fly Racing has continued to be the proving ground for amateur and aspiring pros of all ages. For many years, the Spring Classic has seen many top ranked riders from across the county, solidifying their careers or becoming the next superstars. Beginning March 2 -5, 2017, sponsors, race teams and top ranked amateurs will once again embark on this great event. No pre-qualifying is necessary. The event is an AMA sanctioned 3 moto format, with racing action beginning on Friday, March 3 along with an optional practice day on Thursday, March 2. Bar to bar action each gate drop ending with the crowning of champions!
