We want to clear up some confusion regarding annual versus standard release waivers.
The standard release is valid only for a single day. The annual release is valid for the entire calendar year. However, the AMA member must ensure that the membership is valid through Dec. 31 before applying for an annual release. The AMA cannot grant a release for the entire year when someone’s membership expires in August. The event organizer should have the member fill out the annual release at the event and then submit it to the AMA for processing.
