PICKERINGTON, Ohio — The Ashland Dinner Ride, an annual tradition that raises money for the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame, offers motorcyclists a casual, scenic cruise from Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio, to the historic half-mile dirt track in Ashland, Ohio, on July 6.
The ride is part of 2019 Honda AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days presented by Avon Tyres, a three-day gathering of vintage motorcycle enthusiasts.
For a $45 donation ($40 before June 30) to the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame, participants may join the ride, have dinner at the track, and then move to their grandstand seats and watch a round of the AMA Vintage Flat Track National Championship Series. Dinner ride participants also receive a pit pass to get a close-up look at the teams and racers. And riders receive special parking at the track.

Riders who prefer to ride alone or in smaller groups have the option of getting the route an hour or two before the group ride leaves, so they can ride on their own.
"We lead riders on a very relaxed cruise through the Ohio countryside, past farmlands and woods," said AMA Recreational Riding Manager Heather Wilson. "Everyone will arrive at the fairgrounds in plenty of time for dinner before the vintage flat track racing begins."
